Guillotine glazing systems are modern glazing solutions that facilitate the opening and closing of spaces thanks to their vertical sliding mechanism. Guillotine glazing systems offer an ideal and alternative solution for high-rise buildings, restaurants, cafés, hotels and patisseries. As the bottom glass panel in the system can be opened, all glass surfaces can be cleaned with ease.

The glass panels are designed to move up and down in a horizontal plane. The system operates via a motorised mechanism and can be controlled either by a button or via remote control. Both control options can be implemented as required.

The system uses 4+16+4 mm toughened glass as standard. The glass combinations can be altered upon request. Effective thermal and sound insulation is provided by the 67 × 12 mm brush seals fitted in the aluminium frames on the sides.

The mechanism that lifts the glass panels upwards uses a high-strength, cable-filled belt measuring 20 × 25 mm. This design contributes to the system’s quiet and trouble-free operation. A chain system may be selected as an alternative to the belt, if desired.

In the side channels, there are 8 bearings per channel, which ensure the glass moves smoothly and evenly whilst filling any gaps. Up to 20 systems can be controlled using a single remote control, and the glass can be stopped at any desired point.

When the system is in the open position, the three glass panels, positioned side by side, act as a glass balustrade. When closed, it enhances the comfort of the space by providing sound, thermal and water insulation. Thanks to its secure design, it requires no additional locking mechanism.

The system can be left open at any desired level from top to bottom, minimising the disruptive effects of wind and allowing the space to be naturally ventilated.

The guillotine glazing system has been designed with a focus on customer satisfaction, high quality and easy installation as part of our R&D efforts. The design and registration of the system’s profiles have been patented by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TPE).

Technical Specifications

  • The total internal clearance of the frames is 24 mm. The glass thickness can be adjusted as required.

  • The wall thickness of the aluminium profiles used in the system is 2 mm.

  • The system can be installed with either 2 or 3 panes of glass, as required.

  • Thanks to the robust chain mechanism used in the system, the glass panels move smoothly and quietly up and down. Upon request, a high-strength, cable-filled belt measuring 20 × 25 mm can also be used.

  • There are 8 stainless steel bearings on the side rails to ensure the glass panels move up and down smoothly.

  • Optional motor options such as LCF, Becker, Cupon or Somfy can be used in the systems.

  • The system can be installed with maximum dimensions of 5,500 mm in width and 2,200 mm in height. Dimensions can be adjusted in combination according to project requirements.

  • Thanks to the reinforced profile structure, there is no flexing or swaying in the system.

  • Up to 20 systems can be operated simultaneously using a single remote control.

  • The system locks automatically when closed and prevents it from being opened from either the outside or the inside.

  • Thanks to the modular side rails in the system, maintenance and repair work can be carried out easily without dismantling the product or causing damage to the system in the event of potential alterations or glass breakage.
